KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State setter Ginny Frederick reached another career milestone when she recorded her 1,500th career assist against USC Upstate Friday night.
"I'm very proud of Ginny for reaching this milestone," said KSU head coach Karen Weatherington. "She has been a cornerstone of our program for four years. She works hard day in and day out and deserves this honor."
Frederick reached the plateau when Callie Churchwell put home a kill to give the Owls a 20-15 lead in the first set. She had 196 her freshman season, then followed that up with 536 assists her sophomore year, a career-best. During her junior year, Frederick had 354 assists.
So far this season, Frederick has 423 assists with at least four matches left to be played. The first of those matches will be Friday, Nov. 6 when the Owls host Florida Gulf Coast.
