Owls Fall at Jacksonville
Chance to clinch A-Sun Championships berth put on hold one more day

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sabrita Gulley had a team-high 18 digs as the Kennesaw State volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-9) to Jacksonville Friday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference match.  The Owls remain in a tie for fifth in the A-Sun with Campbell and one match ahead of East Tennessee State and Mercer entering the final day.

The Owls (16-11, 10-9) struggled to gain any traction offensively, hitting just .034 for the contest.  Callie Churchwell and Ginny Frederick each had five total blocks for KSU.

Asjia Stokes was KSU's leading attacker, connecting for a team-best nine kills. 

Brooke Singleton had eight kills, seven aces, and 19 digs in the win.  Kathryn Kane led all attackers with 17 kills as the Dolphins (18-8, 14-5) pulled within one-half match of Florida Gulf Coast for second place and a bye into the semifinals of the A-Sun Championships.

Kennesaw State will return to action Saturday afternoon when the Owls face North Florida in the final match of the regular season.  First serve is set for 3 p.m.
