COPPERHILL, Tenn. - The KSU women's tennis team recently opened the 2010-2011 school year by traveling north to White Water Express in Copperhill, Tenn. for an outdoor group experience which helped the team set goals for the upcoming season as well as allow the returners to meet the new members of the team and staff.
"Team building is about bringing a group of individuals together for one purpose and one objective," according to head coach Brandon Padgett. "I think that this team grew closer together and will remember the experience as fun, but also as an important step toward our overall goals as a team."
The ladies spent the day tackling several physical challenges as a group, while also gaining the opportunity to maneuver their way through a high ropes course as individuals. The group welcomed their newest members, assistant coach Olga Elkin and freshmen Alexandra Apostu.
"It was so good to get to spend time with the team," indicated Elkin. "The team had an amazing time, and so did the coaching staff."
The Owls will begin their fall tournament play with a trip to Auburn-Montgomery on September 17, 2010.
