KENNESAW, Ga. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has named two Kennesaw State University tennis players as members of their All-Academic Team for the 2009-10 season. Ayano Tanaka and Lindsay Dillon, both rising seniors, were each named to the team which recognizes players who achieve above a 3.500 GPA during the academic year.
For Dillon, this is the third consecutive honor from the ITA. Tanaka was also recognized previously, being named to the ITA All-Academic Team in 2007-08.
"These two players exemplify what it means to be a student-athlete," commented DIrector of Tennis Operations and Head Women's Coach Brandon Padgett. "I am so proud of both of these young ladies for working so hard both in the classroom and on the court."
The Owls will return to the courts this fall for practice beginning on August 23, 2010. The Owls will return to competition on September 17, 2010 when they travel to Auburn-Montgomery for their fall invitational.
