KENNESAW, Ga. - Katie Dull had 13 kills, 18 digs, and five total blocks to lead No. 25 Ohio State to a 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-15, 25-10) win over Coastal Carolina in the Saturday morning match of the 2010 Owls Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State.
The Buckeyes (11-1) had three players in double-figures in kills, led by Dull's 13.  Anna Szerzen had 12 and Emily Danks had 11 to help pace the OSU offense.
Coastal Carolina (6-7) scored just 36 points in the match, but still managed to take the second set.  Ahead 20-18, a three-point run would be enough for the Chanticleers to build enough of a lead to hold on.  Ohio State pulled within two, 24-22, but a kill by Megan Bickford gave Coastal the set, 25-22.
Ohio State would jump out in front and never look back in the final two sets, smothering the Chanticleers.  Setter Betsy Hone played three sets total, but primarily in the last two sets and had 30 assists in leading the Buckeyes offense.
Coastal Carolina finished the tournament with a 1-2 record.  Ohio State will play Kennesaw State in the finale of the event.
