Blaire LaSure rebounded from a first round flight six doubles loss to win the consolation draw.
Lagerkvist and LaSure teamed for an 8-2 over Lipscomb’s Reagon Panovec and Shilpa Naruka in the consolation final.

Isabela Castro posted a round one win, but dropped the next two matches to finish fourth in flight four, while sophomore
Virginie Stein and junior
Alexandra Apostu posted a 1-2 record in flight one for a consolation runner-up finish.
In singles action Stein and sophomore
Tamara Plocher each tallied two wins en route to third place finishes in the fight one and flight 10, respectively. Stein notched a 6-0, 6-1 win over Karoline Grymel of Troy in her final match. Plocher dispatched Clayton State’s Martina Dedaj, 6-2, 6-1.
Lagerkvist tallied a 7-6, 4-6, 7-5 win over Furman’s Jenny Porter in round one of flight six, before falling in her final two matches. LaSure rebounded from a loss in her first match in flight 11 to post a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Panovec, but fell in the consolation final.
Apostu and Hueckinghaus both posted first round losses in flights three and four, before withdrawing, while Castro dropped all three matches to round out the Owls.
The Owls next travel to Tampa, Fla., for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional on Friday. Oct. 19 to Monday, Oct. 22.
