MACON, Ga. - The Atlantic Sun Conference honored Kennesaw State women’s golfer Ket Preamchuen as a Women’s Golf Academic All-Conference Team Honoree for her exceptional work in the classroom and on the golf course.
A sports management major, junior Ket Preamchuen maintained a 3.52 GPA in the classroom, while putting together a First Team All Conference Selection ledger. The award is the third consecutive year that Ket has been honored by the conference for her scholastic achievements. Preamchuen led the team with a 75.5-stroke average in 27 rounds and posted three top-10 finishes on the season.
“This is an incredible achievement for me,” Preamchuen said. “For my work in the classroom to be recognized is special. I am grateful for this and happy I can represent my team.”
Preamchuen’s best finish was fourth place at the 2012 A-Sun Conference Championship after carding a 70-72-74=216, E. Her season low round came at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic when she posted a 68, -4 in the opening round and finished seventh for the tournament.

“It is a great honor for Ket to be recognized as a First Team All Conference member, but this award is equally prestigious because of her hard work in the classroom,” head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. “Ket embodies everything that you could ask for in a student-athlete and we are all extremely proud of her.”
Ket and the rest of the Kennesaw State women’s golf team are gearing up for their first ever appearance at the NCAA Regionals on May 10-12. The Owls will head to any of the three venues, Penn State Golf Course in State College, Pennsylvania, The Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio, or Colorado Nationals Golf Club in Erie, Colorado.
