MACON, Ga. – Kennesaw State sophomore
Kaew Preamchuen (Chachoengsao, Thailand) has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Preamchuen competed in two tournaments and recorded a team-leading 73.7 stroke average and posted two Top 20 finishes. She tied for 16th at the season-opening Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational before turning in a record-breaking performance and tying for 10th at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
After shooting scores of 76-75-73 for an 8-over par 224 at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational last week, Preamchuen made KSU history at the Dale McNamara Invitational earlier this week when she posted rounds of 77-67-74 for a 2-over total of 218.
Preamchuen established a KSU par-72 school record with her second-round 5-under par 67 and matched the low round of any individual during the tournament. Her 54-hole total of 218 is a personal best.
Kennesaw State is off until Oct. 15 when it opens play at the Susie Maxwell Burning Classic hosted by Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.
