KENNESAW, Ga. – After winning several awards at the ASUN banquet on Wednesday night,
Kristi Piedimonte won one more on Thursday, November 16 as she was named CoSIDA Academic All-District for the third season in a row.
Piedimonte has a 4.0 GPA as a nursing major and is going to graduate a semester early this December. She finished the regular season with 783 assists averaging 10.44 assists per set and led the team in service aces with 21.
Last night, Piedimonte was named ASUN Setter of the Year, ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year and named ASUN First Team All-Conference for the second straight season.
She has been a four-year starter as a setter and has been the consummate student-athlete on and off the court.
As a senior, Piedimonte has helped lead the Owls to a 19-4 overall record and a 13-1 ASUN record in route to the teams second straight ASUN Regular Season Championship.
Kennesaw State has a first-round bye in the ASUN tournament and will wait to find out who they will play Friday, November 16 at 6 p.m. after tonight's matchup between Lipscomb and North Florida.
