In continuing efforts to expedite entry while maintaining the safety of all patrons, the Owls will continue new pregame security protocols for football games at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. As always, early arrival is important, and patrons are asked to familiarize themselves with the Clear Bag policy and follow instructions from stadium personnel. Some of the changes:

• Stadium gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. This will allow patrons more time to enter the stadium, the opportunity to view warmups, and enjoy concessions and vendors inside the stadium.
• Security personnel will increase at all gates to help alleviate congestion.
• Walk-through metal detectors will be located at certain high-traffic gates, while "wanding" will continue at all other gates. To minimize impact, please be prepared to remove your cell phone, camera, hat, keys and any other large metal objects from your person. You will not need to remove your watch, wallet, belt, jacket, shoes or coins.
• The Clear Bag policy will still be enforced at all gates. A separate line will be added at Gate B for those without bags.

STUDENT APPRECIATION DAY/PROMOTIONS
The Department of Athletics of Kennesaw State Football announced its plans for its annual Student Appreciation Day and promotion items at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. For information on all the details and events, click here.
 
UNIVERSITY DINING WEEKEND SERVICE
Partnered with University Dining, KSU students have the unique opportunity to use one meal plan swipe, $9.75 Dining Dollars or credit card ($12.75) for a meal service provided during the game. Offered to current KSU students only, the meal service opens at 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. on the main concourse inside of Gate G.

REPLICA PLANK TO THE FIRST 1,000 KSU STUDENTS
The first 1,000 students will have a special opportunity to receive a replica "Turnover Plank" inside the student entrance. The Plank is based off the cartoon Ed, Edd n Eddy and is awarded and used to help celebrate turnovers. Players that have received the Plank recently are Taylor Henkle, Tonarius Portress and Jace White.
 
BEAT THE FREEZE
Saturday's festivities also include a version of "Beat The Freeze", a promotion created by Racetrac, in conjunction with the Atlanta Braves at SunTrust Park in 2017, during halftime as one lucky student will have the opportunity to race The Freeze.

SENIOR DAY AT FIFTH THIRD BANK STADIUM
Kennesaw State's events includes recognizing 14 student-athletes on Senior Day, celebrating their storied careers in The Nest. The celebration also includes recognizing support staff and The Marching Owls. Kennesaw State will recognize and celebrate the storied careers of 14 seniors on Saturday KSU will honor the following: Bert Birdsall,, Paris Bostick, Terrance Bulock, Jr., Duronte Carter, Matt Frank, Luther Jones, Justin Marcus, Barclay Miller, Keon Roman, Tonarius Portress, Izzy Sam, Tremayne Trawick, Myles White, and Brenton Wimberly.



SELECTION SHOW WATCH PARTY
The Kennesaw State Department of Athletics, in conjunction with University Dining and Fifth Third Bank, is inviting the public to a watch party at the KSU Convocation Center Sunday, November 19, for the 2017 FCS Football Division-I Selection Show. The public is welcome to join head coach Brian Bohannon and the No.21-ranked Owls for a free breakfast provided by University Dining. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the selection show begins at 11 a.m. on ESPNU. Come celebrate KSU's historic season and the anticipation of the Owls earning their first FCS Playoff berth. CLICK HERE for full details.

TEN THINGS TO KNOW FOR SATURDAY'S GAME

1. Riding a school record nine-game winning streak, Kennesaw State welcomes Monmouth –which is riding a seven-game winning streak— to The Nest. The Big South clash will determine the conference champion and an automatic berth to the FCS playoffs.
2. The Owls' 38-point victory over Charleston Southern snapped the Bucs' nine-game road winning streak, which was the longest in Big South history. The victory also secured KSU's spot in the Big South title game for the second straight season. Kennesaw State's nine wins are a single-season program record.
3. The Owls are in the Top 25 for the third consecutive weekend, checking in at No. 21 and No. 22 in both the FCS Coaches and STATS FCS Polls, respectively. It marks the first time in program history KSU has appeared inside the Top 25 polls for three consecutive weeks and highest ranking in program history.  
4. The Owls are averaging 30.4 points, 426.0 total yards, 336.8 rushing yards and 89.2 passing yards during their nine-game winning streak. 
5. The defense pitched its third shutout—second in three weeks—in program history last Saturday, forcing four turnovers and allowing just 187 yards. KSU's defense ranks fourth nationally in scoring (13.8), second in turnover margin ( 18), second in turnovers gained (27) and eighth in total defense (273.9 ypg).
6. KSU tallied two more interceptions last week, giving the team a nation's best 19 on the season. The Owls have compiled at least one pick in every game this season. KSU's 27 takeaways and turnover margin ( 18) rank second in the nation and hold a 96-10 ( 86) margin in points-off-turnover scoring. 
7. Kennesaw State posted 21 first downs and held the ball for 32:16 last Saturday, including 10:21 in the first quarter. The Owls rank seventh in the nation in time of possession and have won the TOP battle in nine of 10 games, surpassing 32 minutes six times. 
8. Kennesaw State enters the game as the nation's best rushing team for the third consecutive week, averaging 332.4 yards per game. The Owls are coming off a 343-yard performance vs. Charleston Southern, marking the seventh straight game the Owls rushed for at least 300 yards. Kennesaw State has out-rushed opponents 2,471-731 ( 1,740) and hold a 24-4 advantage in rushing touchdowns over that span. 
9. In addition to leading the country in rushing, the Owls are ranked first in the Big South in total offense (437.9ypg), second in scoring (29.7), seventh in the nation in TOP (33:19) and second in the conference in Red Zone (83%). 
10. HONORARY COACH
Ana Baida is Saturday's Dayco Systems honorary coach. Ana is currently the Executive Director of The Department of Career Planning and Development. She has held various positions within Career Planning and Development prior to her current role. Ana holds multiple degrees, including a Master's Degree from Texas A&M and a Doctorate from Northeastern University in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. And that's today's Dayco Systems Honorary Coach, Dr. Ana Baida.

Head Coach Brian Bohannon has selected junior OL Joseph Alexander, Jr., senior DB Tremayne Trawick and junior LB Anthony Gore, Jr., as Saturday's captains.

FAN ZONE
The Fan Zone opens three hours prior to kickoff and is located outside of the stadium on the West side. The Fan Zone includes sponsorship activation, vendors, the Spirit Squad, kids' games, giveaways and much more. The Fan Zone is free and open to the public. The Fan Zone is also the location of the "Owl Walk" two hours prior to kickoff.

PARKING
Parking lots open five hours prior to kickoff at 9 a.m. For those not currently holding a parking pass, you're encouraged to pre-purchase a parking pass in advance via this link for $10. Passes purchased at the game are $15.
