LIVE STATS VS. AKRON

KENNESAW, Ga. --
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team kicks off a three-match homestand Tuesday night, welcoming the University of Akron to the Betty Siegel Courts. The match begins at 5 p.m. and admission is free.

The Owls (5-8) have won three of their last four, and four of six, but welcome a Zips (17-2) team that is riding a 16-match winning streak.

Don't miss tomorrow night's promotion as the Owls will offer free mocktails while supplies last, free sunglasses and leis will be provided to the first 100 fans, and all in attendance have a chance to win a free Eno Hammock.

Junior Alexandra Mercado leads the Owls as the Puerto Rico native owns a team-best 9-4 record in singles play this spring. She has won four straight matches. Sophomore Jessica Cantrell is 5-6 in singles play, and has teamed with Kennedy Craig for a 3-1 mark in doubles play.

Following Tuesday's non-conference match, the Owls remain home this week to host North Florida (Thursday at 12 p.m.) and Stetson (Saturday at 12 p.m.) in ASUN Conference action.
