KENNESAW, Ga. – Charlotte Charrayre,
Madison Caldwell and
Henriette Nielsen have all posted solid finishes in tournament play this summer.
Charrayre played in the French Women's Championships on June 1-5 at the Sable-Solesmes Golf Club. The format of the tournament called for 36 holes of stroke play with the top 32 players advancing to match play format. The rising junior fired rounds of 70-80 for a 6-over par total of 150 and 25th place in stroke play. In her opening round of stroke play, she fired a two-under par 34 on the back nine holes with two birdies and seven pars. In the round of 32, Charrayre won her match in 19 holes. She would fall short 4&2 in her round of 16 match.

Henriette Nielsen played in the 2017 U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier at the par-72 Legends Course at Chateau Elan. Caldwell carded rounds of 79-73 for an 8-over par total of 152 and finished tied for sixth. Caldwell rolled in 12 pars in her first round and 11 pars along with three birdies in her second round. Nielsen posted rounds of 78-79 for a 13-over par total of 157 to finish tied for 26th. Nielsen's highlight of the tournament came in the first round when she eagled on the par-5 10th hole. She would collect 16 pars and three birdies during the event. Both came up short in qualifying for this year's U.S. Women's Open.
