WNC MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE ORDER OF PLAY

ASHEVILLE, N.C. --The Kennesaw State women's tennis team opens its fall schedule this weekend by competing in the WNC Mountain Challenge hosted by UNC Asheville at the Asheville Racquet Club.
 
The WNC Mountain Challenge is a four-team event with the Owls facing UNC Asheville, Western Carolina and USC Upstate. The two-day event on Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24, features individual round robins and play in both singles and doubles on both the indoor and outdoor courts at the Asheville Racquet Club.
 
The Owls welcome back their entire roster from 2016-17, while adding one newcomer to the mix in freshman Brenna Reilly from nearby Lambert High School. Seniors Alexandra Mercado and Cristina Perez-Martin combined for 15 wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively, last season.
 
Following this weekend, the Owls are back on the court October 6-7 at the Mercer Gridiron Classic, hosted by Mercer University.
