KENNESAW, Ga. – After a big week on the court for Kennesaw State volleyball,
Katarina Morton was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week.
She averaged 5.06 digs per set in a week that saw the Owls go 4-1. Morton was also named to the all-tournament team out in St. Louis.
Against UC Irvine, Morton became the second player in Kennesaw State history and 10th player in ASUN history to notch 1,500 career digs.
In the second match of the tournament against Illinois State, the senior libero set a new school record with 34 digs in the four-set match.
This is the third time in her career she has been named Defensive Player of the Week.
The Owls look to stay hot with a big week ahead. KSU travels to Georgia Southern and will take on the Eagles as well as Savannah State. Then on Sunday, September 10, Kennesaw State will return to the KSU Convocation Center to host the Tennessee Volunteers at 3 p.m.
