Madison Caldwell has been named the ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday (April12).
"Madison is having an amazing season, this award is a great recognition of her hard work," Head Coach
Rhyll Brinsmead said. "She has come so far in the last year and as her coach this is incredibly satisfying. She had set goal and worked tirelessly to achieve them."
Caldwell had a strong performance during the Brickyard Collegiate as she finished sixth. The Dawsonville, Ga. native posted rounds of 72-72-76 for a 54-hole total of 4-over par 220. She tied the fourth most pars in the field with 38 for the tournament. Her finish was her best of the spring and second best of the season. She was the Owls top finisher for the fourth time this season. Her rounds of 72 in the first two rounds were eighth and ninth at par or better this season. Caldwell is ranked 100th by Golfstat in this week's rankings.
The Owls will head to Athens, Ga. for the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia on April 13-14.
