Madison Caldwell has collected the ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award, the conference announced on Wednesday (April 18.).
"Madison had an exceptional event at UGA," Head Coach
Rhyll Brinsmead said. "She posted the low round of the day in the final round with a 68. She has played better and better as the season goes on andher talent is limitless. She is very deserving of back to back honors to end the regular season."
Caldwell had another strong performance during the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic as she finished tied for 14th. The Dawsonville, Ga. native recorded rounds of 74-76-68 for a 54-hole total of 2-over par 218. The junior was the Owls top finisher for the fifth time this season. The final round 68 ties for the eighth best round in program history on a par 72 course. Saturday's final round was the tenth time she shot par or better this season. Caldwell is the top- ranked player in the ASUN at 74th by Golfstat in this week's rankings. This is Caldwell's third ASUN Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career.
The No.44 Owls will head to will head to Braselton, Ga. for the ASUN Championships Sunday-Tuesday (April 22-24) at the Chateau Elan Legends Club.
