KENNESAW, Ga. - The Troy women's volleyball team breezed to a three-set victory over North Carolina Central to imrove to 2-0 during first-day play in the Kennesaw State Owls Classic on Friday at the KSU Convocation Center.
The Trojans (5-14), who won by scores of 25-18, 25-10, 15-11, received contributions throughout its lineup. Freshman outside hitter Blair Winston tallied eight kills in 13 attack attempts for a .538 hitting percentage. Winston's efforts led a Troy attack that recorded a .345 hitting percentage for the game.
Dayana Arufat Rondon and Christine Anthony led the Eagles (1-10) with four kills apiece. North Carolina Central is next in action when it plays Tennessee State on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
