KENNESAW, Ga. Behind the efforts of Dayana Arrufat Rondon and Christine Anthony, the North Carolina Central women's volleyball team defeated Tennessee State in three sets to pick up its first win of the Kennesaw State Owls Classic at the KSU Convocation Center on Friday.
Arrufat Rondon tallied 14 kills and Anthony added 13 for the Eagles (2-10), who won by scores of 15-19, 28-26, 25-22.
Sophomore outside hitter Naomi Wells led the Tigers (4-6) with a double-double as she recorded 13 kills and 13 digs
North Carolina Central, 1-2 in the KSU Owls Classic, plays its final game of the tournament against UT Chattanooga at 5 p.m. Tennessee State, also 1-2 in tournament actions, concludes against Troy beginning at 2:30 p.m.
